The Geometry of Things
Maintaining order creates compulsion.
Something must be straightened.
Something must be cleaned.
Something must be removed.
This defiance of the inevitable manifests as an attempt to control even the most minute details in life. However manageable it may seem, it is impossible to choreograph and unfeasible to believe one can evade the unavoidable.
The urge to control an environment is motivated by an internal disturbance and a resistance to change that can only be comforted by the illusion of power. Documenting this interference proves that, despite an effort to create stability, nothing can remain the same.
Something must fall out of place.
